According to a report from BusinessKorea, analysts at NH Investment & Securities recently stated that the global MLCC supply and demand imbalance will further intensify in the second half of this year, and Samsung is expected to increase MLCC prices.

In the global MLCC market, Murata Manufacturing has an absolute advantage in the market, followed by Samsung and Taiyo Yuden.

The report pointed out that, driven by the epidemic, sales of IT equipment such as PCs and laptops have remained strong, and the demand for smartphone components has recovered rapidly, the supply of MLCC is expected to be tight.

The report also pointed out that MLCC suppliers in Taiwan are expected to raise prices at the end of February after the Chinese New Year. In the case of tight MLCC supply, market prices may rise across the board.

Therefore, the analysis believes that Samsung's MLCC products may increase prices in the second half of the year, and the company will also optimize its product structure.
