According to a Reuters report, the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) said on Wednesday that German electric vehicles have won the favor of a large number of domestic consumers, and sales in 2020 have tripled to 194,000.

KBA Chairman Richard Damm said in a statement: "Electric vehicles have become a mainstream feature of the mobile Internet society."

Considering that the market share of pure electric or hybrid vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2020 has reached 22% in Germany, the German government is moving towards a new goal, which is set to put 7 million to 10 million electric vehicles on the road by 2030. KBA also revealed that by the end of 2020, pure electric vehicles accounted for 1.2% of all registered passenger vehicles in Germany, up from 0.5% in the same period last year.
