Samsung plans to increase its NAND flash price by 10%

According to BusinessKorea's report today, Samsung Electronics plans to increase its NAND flash memory price by 10% due to concerns over production disruptions caused by Japanese government restrictions on semiconductor materials exports.

As reported, Samsung Electronics' supply and demand situation has improved after a power outage at the Toshiba NAND Flash factory. NAND flash inventory has been reduced to four weeks, about half of DRAM inventory, and NAND flash demand is rising over the past few days.

However, according to industry analysts, the key to the market outlook is whether smartphone manufacturers and server companies will continue to increase demand after memory prices rise. Industry insiders pointed out that the global semiconductor industry is unlikely to recover in the first half of next year, which means that the current price increase of memory chips will not last long.
