Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that it has won the 2018 Innovator Award from Design & Elektronik Magazine for its HOTcap® K...H series of automotive grade MLCCs.

K...H series MLCC has good high temperature performance, it has been determined to operate for 500 hours at temperatures ranging from -55 ℃ to +200 ℃ and no time limit at +175 ℃. Capacitance ranges from 100 pF to 1 μF with a capacitance tolerance of ± 5 %.

HOTcap® K...H series capacitors feature high-reliability MLCC and precious metal electrodes produced using a unique wet manufacturing process for sensor and DC motor EMI filtering in the most demanding automotive environments. The leaded MLCC is AEC-Q200 certified and offers PPAP upon request. It has stronger mechanical and thermal stress characteristics and operates at temperatures higher than surface mount (SMD) components.

The 2018 Innovator Awards ceremony was held in Munich. Markus Roessler from Vishay Ceramic Capacitor Product Marketing received the award on behalf of Vishay.
