Recently, Molex, the world's leading connector manufacturer, announced that Joe Nelligan has officially started as the company's CEO.

Nelligan served as the company's chief operating officer and president with more than 30 years of experience at Molex. In recent years, Molex has expanded in the global market, with outstanding growth in both existing and new markets. As CEO, Nelligan will oversee the company's growth.

As Chief Operating Officer and President, Nelligan leads the company's global sales and marketing divisions and four global product divisions serving the data communications, consumer electronics, medical, industrial, automotive and commercial vehicle markets. He also oversees the company's manufacturing and supply chain operations, which support more than 50 manufacturing facilities in 23 countries.

“I am humble, honored and excited to take on this new role and lead the team to continue to drive Molex's profitable growth. For more than 30 years, Molex has provided me with opportunities to work in multiple business areas. I look forward to using this knowledge and experience with the world. More than 45,000 employees work together to develop innovative electronic solutions that improve the lives of people around the world,” Nelligan said.

Nelligan graduated from Notre Dame in 1986 with a degree in electrical engineering and received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1989. Nelligan joined Molex in 1986 as a product engineer. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Molex in 2016 and served as President in 2017.
