On September 25, STMicroelectronics announced a partnership with Alibaba to open the STM32 official online store on tmall.com in Alibaba. The first batch of products available for sale are STM32 microcontrollers and related evaluation boards. The opening of the STM32 Tmall online store marks the expansion of STMicroelectronics and Alibaba's efforts to provide a complete IoT vertical solution for the Chinese market.

Earlier, STMicroelectronics announced that it has partnered with Alibaba Cloud IoT to create a cloud-to-node solution and provide all the key modules needed. By integrating AliOS-Things' complete vertical solution from the cloud to the node, as well as a portfolio of ST sensors, data processing, security, connectivity and power, the two companies have jointly built a complete IoT software ecosystem including operating system (OS), data security and connectivity.

“STM32 Tmall online store is the largest STM32 mass market sales network in China. Through this platform, ST hopes to enable developers to purchase all the components needed for IoT application development. Relying on Alibaba's brand influence and Excellent user experience, STM32 Tmall flagship store will provide customers with convenient STM32 ecosystem hardware purchase service. STM32 Tmall online store is another achievement of ST and Alibaba cooperation, paved the way for the long-term cooperation and success of both parties,” said Arnaud Julienne, vice president of MMS and the Internet of Things in Asia Pacific.

ST's online store at tmall.com is a sales channel independent of its authorized distributors, broadening the sales channels of STMicroelectronics in China and helping to promote the brand. Recently, many semiconductor companies have opened online stores at tmall.com, and believe that more semiconductor companies will join in the future.
