Infineon and Alibaba launch cooperation on the IoT

Last week, Infineon Technologies AG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alibaba Cloud Computing (Alibaba Cloud), a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, which will jointly promote the Internet of Things in the smart life and smart industries application to promote the digital upgrade of Chinese enterprises and cities.

Infineon will rely on its technology and service advantages in the Internet of Things to collaborate with Alibaba Cloud's IoT operating system, AliOS Things, and provide technical services. In addition, future IoT applications will have more stringent requirements for system security. As part of this cooperation, the two parties will further explore the planning, implementation and security standards of the Internet of Things to enable SMEs and individuals to deploy and access Alibaba Cloud in a cost-effective, highly reliable way. On this basis, both parties will use Alibaba Cloud's integration capabilities and the successful experience of the Internet of Things to jointly create advanced and secure IoT solutions. This will help upgrade and transform the smart digitization of SMEs so they can manage the entire production process digitally. In addition, the two companies also plan to cooperate on e-commerce channels.

“The construction and improvement of the IoT ecosystem needs to gather the strengths and strengths of all parties. This partnership combines Alibaba Cloud's operating system capabilities with Infineon's semiconductor technology solutions. We believe this will be effective. Promote the deployment of the Internet of Things in the smart industry." said Wei Ku, vice president of Alibaba Group and general manager of Alibaba Cloud Internet of Things.
