November 3, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Nexperia China said it is accelerating qualification of new wafer suppliers after the company’s Netherlands management halted shipments to its Dongguan assembly and testing site on October 26.

The Dutch side claimed that the move was due to non-compliance with payment terms, but the China team rejected the accusation, saying it was “false” and that headquarters still owed more than RMB 1 billion (approximated $140 million ) to the Dongguan operation.

Nexperia China said inventories and work-in-progress are sufficient to support deliveries through the end of this year, and added that the suspension has damaged customer confidence and violated established commercial practices.

Analysts say the dispute adds another layer of uncertainty to the power semiconductor supply chain, as automotive customers continue to reassess sourcing resilience heading into 2026.
