April 10, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its LTO series with the release of the LTO 150H, a new AEC-Q200 qualified thick film power resistor designed for demanding automotive and industrial environments. Housed in a TO-247 clip-mount package for direct heatsink mounting, the device offers 150 W of power dissipation at a case temperature of +45 °C and features low thermal resistance of 0.87 °C/W.

The LTO 150H delivers pulse energy absorption up to 75 J over 0.1 s—30% higher than existing LTO models—providing robust protection against short transient pulses and improving system stability and reliability in high-stress applications.

With an operating temperature up to +175 °C, resistance values ranging from 1 Ω to 2.2 kΩ, and tolerance down to ±2%, the LTO 150H is suited for use in precharge/discharge circuits, 48 V power nets, battery management systems, fuel cells, and on-board chargers in hybrid and electric vehicles. It also targets industrial drives, welding systems, power tools, telecom infrastructure, and military-grade equipment.

The RoHS-compliant, non-inductive design is available with optional bended terminations. Samples and production quantities are available now, with standard lead times of 10 weeks. For more information, please visit https://www.vishay.com/en/product/50084/.
