Taiyo Yuden completes new MLCC production building

March 18, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. has completed the construction of Building No. 5 at its Tamamura Plant, a key manufacturing hub for multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) in Japan. This expansion enhances the company’s research, development, and production capabilities in MLCC technology.

The Tamamura Plant plays a pivotal role in TAIYO YUDEN’s MLCC business, supporting both cutting-edge product development and mass production readiness. The newly constructed Building No. 5 is designed to strengthen the company’s technological expertise in MLCCs, reinforcing its global competitiveness and long-term innovation strategy.

Building No. 5 has obtained ZEB Ready certification, meeting stringent low-environmental-impact standards while ensuring an optimized production environment. With this facility now operational, TAIYO YUDEN aims to accelerate advancements in electronic components to support the growing demand for high-performance electronic devices.
