ON Semiconductor announced that it has been named to the Fortune 500 list of the largest U.S. companies. This is the first time that the company has been selected on the basis of revenue since its listing in 2000.

"The entry into the "Fortune 500" is an affirmation of ON Semiconductor's entire global team and a strong testimony to our partnership with customers and suppliers around the world, said ON Semiconductor President and CEO Keith Jackson. Changing business traits, customers increasingly trust us as key technology providers for emerging and disruptive applications."

Bernard Gutmann, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ON Semiconductor, said: “On Semiconductor's business remains strong, while customer and macroeconomic data show that in the near to medium term, our end markets and regional demand continues to be strong. With the strong product lineup and design wins in the pipeline will enable ON Semiconductor to take a favorable position in the coming year and achieve important results."

With headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, ON Semiconductor has more than 160 business locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, and employs more than 34,000 people worldwide. The company's extensive product portfolio includes markets for cars, computers, consumer electronics, communications and industrial/medical/military/aviation markets. These key market-divided businesses account for more than $5 billion in annual revenue.
