Farnell revenue hits record

Electronic components distributor Farnell recently released results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 22 ended July 2, with revenue of $442 million in the quarter, an operating profit margin of 14.2%, and a total fiscal year revenue of $1.8 billion,up 20.2% year-over-year, the result of significant growth in demand from the electronics, energy, security and transportation industries.

"Management is pleased with this strong performance, especially given that it was achieved against continued market uncertainty, supply chain challenges and increased lead times associated with high customer demand," said Rob Rospedzihowski, president of sales for Farnell EMEA.

Nearly 56% of total sales and 72% of total transaction orders during the quarter were placed through the company's e-commerce platform, Farnell noted.
