According to recent reports from BBC, the COVID-19 epidemic has led to a surge in demand for electronic products, resulting in a tight global wafer foundry capacity, and the interruption of the semiconductor supply chain has affected many technology companies.
"I think we still need six months to get through the storm." Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins said in an interview with BBC.
"As demand soars, capacity expansion will be critical. The shortage of chips is a big problem, because almost everything is inseparable from semiconductors." Robbins said.
"This forces semiconductor suppliers to expand production capacity. However, in the next 12 to 18 months, the situation will get better." Robbins added.
