According to reports, an employee of SK Hynix China was tested positive for Covid-19 at Incheon Airport in South Korea when he left China for South Korea on November 26.

The employee is an engineer of SK Hynix's Chongqing plant. After receiving the test results, Sk Hynix Chongqing immediately suspended production, quarantined all employees and conducted Covid-19 tests.

According to the report, SK Hynix Chongqing is a semiconductor packaging and testing plant invested and constructed by SK Hynix in Chongqing, China. It covers an area of 280,000 square meters. It mainly produces Nand Flash for mobile applications, such as smart phones, tablet computers, USB and other mobile devices.

According to public information, the annual output of SK hynix Chongqing plant accounts for more than 40% of the entire SK hynix flash memory products, and it is its largest overseas packaging and testing base in the world. This means that the temporary shutdown of SK Hynix Chongqing plant may affect 40% of SK Hynix's flash memory packaging and testing capacity.

As of today, SK Hynix has not released an official statement.
