According to the supply chain, Xilinx recently sent letters to their customers regarding product price adjustments. According to the letter, Xilinx will increase the price of some products by 25% from April 5, 2021.

Xilinx said that the reason for the price increase is that the manufacturring, assembly, carrying and maintenance costs increase substantlly with older products. Xilinx targets minimum 15+ year product cycles that enable significant customer savings and risk mitigation. Price adjustments allow Xilinx to continue to provide these long lifecycles, avoiding EOL while simutaneously investing in the leading-edge technology customers need to innovate.

Supply chain sources said that the price adjustments include the Spartan-6, Virtex-6, Kintex-7 and Virtex-7 series, and the products in the following table.
