Mouser Electronics announces a new eBook in collaboration with Qorvo, exploring the arrival of Wi-Fi 6 and the promising benefits of the new standard. In Next-Gen Wi-Fi Applications and Solutions, subject matter experts from Qorvo and Mouser discuss the evolution of Wi-Fi standards and the implications of the newest generation, including in communicationsand Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Wi-Fi has evolved over the past several years through multiple iterations, with each generation providing noticeable increases in raw data rate and other performance specifications. While Wi-Fi 6 provides a slight improvement in raw data rate, the standard's improved spectral reuse and multichannel capacity could represent an increase of up to four times in real-life throughput experience. Wi-Fi 6's multichannel capabilities facilitate connectivity to multiple devices in a limited space, eliminating interference and optimizing indoor throughput.

Next-Gen Wi-Fi Applications and Solutions, the new eBook from Mouser and Qorvo, provides developers and engineers with everything they need to know about the emerging Wi-Fi 6 standard. The eBook also includes product information for key Qorvo solutions including the QPQ1909 Wi-Fi edgeBoost™ bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filter. The QPQ1909 device is a high-performance BAW band-pass filter with extremely steep skirts, delivering industry-leading bandedge performance in Wi-Fi applications such as access points, residential gateways, and wireless routers.

The QPQ1905 Wi-Fi and IoT bandBoost™ filter is designed to enable unique use cases in which usable channels within the available Wi-Fi spectrum are subdivided. This solution allows the use of Wi-Fi in channels 1 and 2 while enabling the simultaneous use of Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, or Bluetooth® Low Energy channels in higher frequencies. The eBook also features the QPF4800 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 front end module, a highly integrated device supporting increased users per access point, increased per-user traffic demand, higher-density deployments, and increased cellular offloading.

The eBook includes convenient links and ordering information for sixteen Qorvo filters, modules, and evaluation kits, as well as useful diagrams, infographics, and embedded video content. Qorvo's range of products available from Mouser includes RF amplifiers, evaluation boards, semiconductors, and power management solutions.
