Korean companies begin to hoard electronic components to avoid the potential impact of Japanese export restrictions
According to sources in the supply chain, some Korean electronics manufacturers have begun to increase the purchase of electronic components originating in Japan due to concerns about Japan's expansion of export restrictions.
In addition, according to the Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics recently sent a letter to its local suppliers, hoping that these suppliers can increase the component inventory as much as possible, and require them to ensure that the components are in safe inventory before the end of July or August 15. Moreover, Samsung also admitted that it will bear the additional cost of storage components.
The supply chain said that if Japan further expands export restrictions, it may damage the supply of electronic components used by global technology companies.
