Apple chip R&D director gives up competing for Intel CEO position

Since Brian Krzanich resigned as CEO in June 2018, Intel has not had a resident CEO. According to reports last week, Johny Srouji, head of Apple's chip development, appeared on the list of Intel CEO candidates. But now according to The Motley Fool report, Johny Srouji has informed his team that it will remain in Apple and will not compete for Intel's CEO position.

Johny Srouji has worked at Intel for more than 10 years, from 1993 to 2005. He joined Apple in 2008, mainly responsible for the development of Apple A series chips, and the A series chips have always been the advantage of Apple hardware, because its iPhone and iPad are equipped with A series chips from the iPhone 4, its performance In the market has always been far ahead.

Since the end of 2015, Johny Srouji has entered Apple's senior management team and reports directly to Tim Cook, responsible for the independent development of Apple batteries, application processors, storage controllers, sensor chips, display chips and other chips.
