According to Reuters, Toyota Motor Corp said in recent days it will cut its global production plan by about 100,000 vehicles to about 850,000 vehicles in June due to semiconductor shortages.

However, the company has not changed its estimate of producing about 9.7 million vehicles globally by March 2023.

Toyota also announced additional suspensions of production lines at its Japanese factories, which will start on Wednesday until June 3, due to supply shortages caused by the Covid-19 lockdown in Shanghai, China.
