Supply chain: Western Digital plans to increase NAND and HDD prices

December 7, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- According to the supply chain, Western Digital has recently notified distributors and some customers that prices will increase. Among them, the cumulative growth rate of NAND Flash may reach 55% in the future.

Western Digital said it will change its regular quotations for HDD and NAND Flash products to periodically adjust prices. Among them, HDD product pricing will be reviewed weekly and prices are expected to increase in the first half of next year; NAND Flash product prices will increase in the next few quarters, and the price may be 55% higher than the current price.

Western Digital pointed out that it is currently regulating production capacity in response to market supply and demand, and it is difficult to respond immediately to unplanned demands and orders.
