South Korea's semiconductor exports in September hit highest level since October last year

October 4, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- According to reports, South Korea's exports fell by 4.4% year-on-year in September, and its trade balance achieved a surplus of US$3.7 billion. The single-month trade balance has maintained a surplus for four consecutive months. Semiconductor exports reached US$9.9 billion, the highest level since October last year.

Specifically, exports in September were US$54.66 billion, down 4.4% year-on-year. The import volume was US$50.96 billion, down 16.5% year-on-year.

It is worth mentioning that the decline in exports was the smallest since it turned from increase to decrease in October last year, and it has been below 10% for two consecutive months since August.
