South Korea's SK Group recently announced that the group, through its investment company SK Inc., has acquired a majority stake in SiC power semiconductor company Yes Power Technix.

SK Inc said in a press release that it will invest 120 billion won for a 95.8% stake in Yes Power Technix.

SK invested 26.8 billion won in January last year to acquire a 33.6% stake in Yes Power Technics to support the development of the company's SiC power semiconductor business competitiveness, including product development and process upgrades.

Going forward, SK Inc. said it plans to build YES Power Technics into a global SiC power semiconductor company through improved technological competitiveness, further investment in facilities and continued investment in R&D.
