SIA: Global semiconductor sales reach $57.8 billion in November 2024, up 20.7% YoY

January 8, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — According to the latest report from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), global semiconductor sales reached $57.8 billion in November 2024, a 20.7% increase from $47.9 billion in November 2023 and a 1.6% rise from $56.9 billion in October 2024. Month-over-month sales are compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics

“November saw continued strong growth in the global semiconductor market, setting a new record for monthly sales. Sales have increased month-over-month for eight consecutive months,” said John Neuffer, SIA President and CEO. “Year-over-year sales have risen by more than 20% for the fourth consecutive month, with sales in the Americas up 54.9%.”

Regionally, sales grew year-over-year in the Americas (54.9%), China (12.1%), Asia/Pacific/Other regions (10.0%), and Japan (7.4%), while Europe saw a decline (-5.7%). Month-over-month sales growth was observed in the Americas (4.4%) and Asia/Pacific/Other regions (1.5%) in May of last year, while sales declined in China (-0.1%), Europe (-0.7%), and Japan (-0.8%).
