Samsung raises DRAM prices by about 30% for Q2 across all segments

April 8, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Samsung Electronics has raised DRAM prices by about 30% for the second quarter, after closing negotiations with major customers at the end of March, according to Korean media reports.

The new pricing follows a sharp increase in the first quarter, when average DRAM prices were roughly doubled. Compared with levels at the start of 2025, prices after two rounds of increases are now about 2.6 times higher.

The latest increase applies across the full product range, including high bandwidth memory (HBM) used in AI servers, as well as standard DRAM for PCs and smartphones.

Samsung has already signed supply agreements with key global customers, confirming that the new pricing has taken effect.

Market watchers say demand for AI-related memory remains strong, especially for HBM, while demand for standard DRAM is also picking up. At the same time, supply growth is still limited, supporting the overall price trend.
