Samsung Electronics opens new R&D center in Hanoi, Vietnam

Dec. 23, 2022 /SemiMedia/ -- According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics held the completion ceremony of the new R&D center in Hanoi, Vietnam this morning.

The center is Samsung's first large-scale comprehensive research institute in Vietnam. The center started construction in March 2020, with a cost of 220 million US dollars, covering an area of 11,603 square meters, with a total area of 79,511 square meters, 3 floors underground and 16 floors above ground. It is expected that more than 2,200 researchers will be stationed here, focusing on research and development related to intelligent machines, network technologies, and software.

The report pointed out that Samsung plans to strengthen the professionalism of the Vietnam R&D center, specializing in the core technology of mobile device software - multimedia information processing, wireless communication security system.
