According to supply chain, Samsung issued notices to customers to update the production status of its Austin, Texas plant. The notice stated that more than 90% of the production capacity of NAND control chips will still be affected in April, and the overall control chip production capacity will not be able to resume production until May.

Samsung Austin Semiconductor primarily focuses on the production of 14nm and 28/32nm technologies. 14-nanometer technology includes RF transceivers for 5G smartphones, NAND control chips and APs for 4G mobile phones, and 28-nanometer technology includes products such as OLED, CIS, and NAND control chips.

At present, Samsung said it is continuing to seek solutions and will try its best to reduce the impact on customers.
