October 23, 2024 /SemiMedia/ — ROHM Semiconductor and Denso Corporation have announced plans to explore a strategic partnership to strengthen their collaboration in the semiconductor field. The companies aim to address the growing demand for electronic components as electric vehicles (EVs) accelerate toward carbon neutrality.

ROHM and Denso have a history of collaboration, including joint development of semiconductors for automotive applications. This potential partnership would focus on ensuring a stable supply of high-quality, reliable semiconductors and advancing innovations to support sustainable mobility.

As part of their efforts to solidify this relationship, Denso intends to acquire a stake in ROHM. Further details of the partnership are under consideration.
