Renesas Electronics Corporation yesterday issue an announcement regarding the impact of the earthquake that hit the coast of Fukushima Prefecture and the surrounding areas on February 13 on Renesas Group business operation.

According to an earlier report, the Naka factory fell into a power outage after the strong earthquake on February 13th, and the factory also suspended production operations to ensure safety. After confirming the conditions of the clean room on the 14th and 15th, the factory began to resume work in stages from the 16th.

Regarding the status of the Naka factory impacted by the earthquake, Renesas previously announced its plan to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input base) in around one week of the earthquake, and Renesas yesterday confirmed that it has completed the restoration on February 21th as scheduled.
