NVIDIA denies rumors of acquiring ARM

According to previous media reports, NVIDIA's acquisition of Arm has entered the stage of exclusive negotiations. The acquisition amount may be as high as 50 billion US dollars, and the acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

Since both NVIDIA and Arm play pivotal roles in the semiconductor industry, the rumors of this merger have attracted attention from inside and outside the semiconductor industry. If this acquisition is completed, it will be the largest merger in the semiconductor industry in recent years and the one with the most extensive impact.

It has been nearly a month since the merger-related reports appeared, and NVIDIA has not responded positively before. However, at the earnings conference on the morning of August 20, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang formally responded to the rumors of acquiring Arm.

Jensen Huang said that so far, NVIDIA has had a lot of cooperation with Arm, but has not yet proposed an acquisition.

"We have been a long-term partner of Arm, using Arm in many applications, whether it is driverless or robot applications, and Nintendo Switch." Jensen Huang said.

In fact, in rumors, Nvidia is not the first buyer of Arm. Earlier it was reported that Samsung and Apple were interested in acquiring Arm. Today, Nvidia's acquisition of Arm has proven to be untrue. It seems that the chances of SoftBank being able to sell ARM are very small.
