September 15, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Global semiconductor sales reached $62.1 billion in July 2025, up 20.6% from $51.5 billion a year earlier and 3.6% higher than June’s $59.9 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

SIA President and CEO John Neuffer said demand remained strong across key regions, with robust growth in the Americas and Asia-Pacific driving the overall expansion.

Regionally, Asia-Pacific and “all other regions” posted the largest year-on-year increase at 35.6%, followed by the Americas at 29.3%, China at 10.4% and Europe at 5.7%. Japan was the only major market to decline, falling 6.3%. On a sequential basis, sales rose 8.6% in both the Americas and Asia-Pacific, remained flat in Europe, and edged down in Japan (-0.2%) and China (-1.3%).

Analysts noted that sustained demand for AI, high-performance computing and automotive semiconductors is underpinning market momentum. Rising consumption of advanced process chips, memory products and power management ICs continues to reshape global semiconductor growth patterns.
