According to supply chain sources, high capacity utilization of TSMC and UMC's 22/28nm processes will continue until at least 2022. Capacity vacated by low demand for consumer chips will soon be filled by customers such as Sony and Infineon.

The sources pointed out that the mature processes of TSMC and UMC can still maintain high capacity utilization rates of 95-100% throughout the year, especially the 22/28nm node is still a seller's market.

It was previously reported that due to factors such as inflation and rising production costs, TSMC's foundry prices will rise by more than 3% next year.
