According to the supply chain, 200mm foundry capacity has been in short supply recently, the lead time has been extended to 4 months, and it has also been reported that the price will increase by 10% in the near future.

According to the source, due to strong demand for power management chips, display driver ICs and sensors, coupled with limited new capacity, 200mm foundry capacity is tight, and the current 200mm foundry capacity of UMC and VIS is fully loaded.

Source from the IC design industry also said that with limited 200mm foundry capacity, the product lead time has been extended to 4 months from the past 2 to 3 months.

Industry insiders predict that 200mm foundry prices may increase by 10% in the fourth quarter. In addition, the short supply of 200mm wafer capacity may result in a shortage of display driver ICs and power management ICs before 2021.
