According to the report, in January-February, Goodix's sales of fingerprint chips had successfully surpassed last year's sales championship FPC (Fingerprint Cards AB).

Judging from the specific data, in January-February, Goodix shipments ranked first in China was 32.6kk, while the FPC that relegated to second was 32kk. Although there was only a difference of 0.6kk in shipments, the shipments of the two companies in the same period last year were FPC: 35kk, Goodix: 32kk, and the difference was 3kk. This also means that FPC's sales of fingerprint chips in the Chinese market in January-February this year were down by about 8.6% year-on-year, while Goodix was up 1.9% year-on-year.

In addition, in terms of performance, Goodix achieved sales of 570 million USD in 2017. Based on this, it is estimated that the sales volume alone will increase by approximately 25.6% compared to the 490 million revenues for 2016.

In the trend of the fullscreen display, many industry insiders predict that fingerprints under display will be popular in the second half of the next year, which will result in the full profitability of fingerprint technology companies. Goodix as a Chinese and even global company in this field are one step ahead of the company, with the further opening of the market, with its first-mover advantage, is likely to continue to lead.

On the other hand, FPC also recently developed a new face recognition solution. It is understood that this new face recognition solution will be first applied to the smart phone field and is expected to be launched in the second half of 2018.
