Last week, ROHM Semiconductor issued a statement saying that its two production facilities will continue to remain partially operational as the Philippines and Malaysia authorities extend their pandemic prevention policies.

The statement said that as the Philippine government decided to extend the "Enhanced Community Quarantine" policy until May 15, its local subsidiary ROHM Electronics Philippines, Inc. will remain partially operational until the restrictions are lifted. The factory mainly produces IC, Sensor / MEMS, Transistor, Diode and Resistor.

The company's Malaysian subsidiary ROHM-Wako Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. will continue to remain partially operational due to the authorities' decision to extend the nation's Movement Control Order until May 12. The main products produced by this production facility are Transistor, Diode and LED.

In the statement, ROHM Semiconductor did not mention a specific date when the two factories will be fully operational.
