March 20, 2020

Yesterday, Taiyo Yuden issued an official notice of the occurrence of counterfeit products in the market.

In the notification, Taiyo Yuden confirmed that some imitation products were labeled as TAIYO YUDEN products and were not sold through its sales offices or distributors but through unofficial channels around the world. Taiyo Yuden checked the counterfeit products and found that they did not meet TAIYO YUDEN's quality assurance standards. And unfortunately, there was an actual case that customer used them in their products and that caused a quality failure.

Taiyo Yuden said it is positively working to eliminate imitations on the market, but it is difficult to rule out all unofficial channels. Therefore, Taiyo Yuden recommends that its customers purchase from its official channels.
