February 6, 2020

On February 4, the Chinese TV maker Konka Group announced that its holding company Hefei KONSEMI Storage Technology Co., Ltd.'s first flash memory chip has reached mass production. The first batch of 100,000 chips produced was sold out in December 2019, and it is planned to sell 100 million in 2020.

The chip's part number is KS6581A, which is the first eMMC5.1 flash memory chip planned by Konka Group's Semiconductor Technology Division, and its target applications are smart phones, tablet computers, smart TVs, set-top boxes, automotive electronics and other products.

the KS6581A is targeted to optimize the problems faced by mainstream eMMC products. It is at the forefront of the industry in terms of read and write speeds, and also has superior power management functions, which can quickly react and switch between instructions. In addition, it provides low-power and high-performance support for the host.

According to the Konka Group, KONSEMI will increase the investment in research and development of memory chip products, improve the product layout and build core competitiveness in this field.
