Just a week after TI announced the termination of its authorized distribution agreement with Avnet, there are media reports that TI has notified its two other authorized distributors, World Peace Industrial Group (WPI, part of WPG Group) and WT Microelectronics, saying that it will end its authorized distribution relationship with the two companies by the end of next year.

According to the report, WPI and WT issued announcements respectively for TI's decision. WPI stated in the announcement that TI plans to terminate its authorized distribution agreement by December 31, 2020. Based on its long-term relationship with TI and to ensure the smooth supply of customers' products, the two parties are expected to start negotiations and reach a consensus on matters related to business transfer in the coming weeks.

In the WT announcement, WT pointed out that it received TI's notice last week and will end the authorized distribution relationship on December 31, 2020, emphasizing that with its leading position in the distribution of electronic components in Asia, the company's business will not be seriously affected.

At present, TI has not issued an announcement for these two companies, but according to the latest announcement from TI, the cancellation of the authorized distribution relationship is basically confirmed. At this point, Arrow has become TI's only global authorized distributor, local distributors in Japan are Macnica and TED, and global online distributors are Digi-Key and Mouser Electronics.
