Wingtech challenges Dutch intervention over Nexperia

November 25, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Wingtech Technology, the parent company of Dutch chipmaker Nexperia, has appealed the Dutch government’s decision to assume control of Nexperia, arguing the move lacks a clear legal basis and could disrupt stability across the global semiconductor supply chain. The company first filed its appeal on October 21 and expanded the challenge on November 10, according to disclosed documents. Wingtech said its formal statement on the issue was issued on November 23.

Company calls for dialogue to safeguard supply chain stability

The company noted that the Dutch intervention has created uncertainty for customers relying on Nexperia’s components. With support from relevant Chinese authorities, Wingtech said it has repeatedly expressed willingness to engage in constructive dialogue on restoring its shareholder rights and resolving the dispute. However, the company added that Nexperia’s Dutch entity has yet to provide a substantive response.

Wingtech emphasized that Nexperia’s operational stability is vital for chipmakers and electronics manufacturers worldwide, urging all parties to act responsibly and protect the continuity of the global semiconductor supply chain.
