ON Semiconductor opened an information technology (IT) center at the Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the Czech Republic. According to ON Semiconductor, the expansion aims to apply information technology to high-tech manufacturing and technology processes, as well as a comprehensive strategy for automation and industry 4.0.

ON Semiconductor has a manufacturing facility and design center in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, so it was selected by On Semiconductor as the base for a new centralized regional data center in Europe. With the expansion of the Rožnov pod Radhoštěm manufacturing business in the past years, the business scope and the number of employees continually increased, the IT center has reached the stage of expansion and upgrading, and it is indispensable for the introduction of the latest technology for the technology business of ON Semiconductor.

The main functions of the IT center include the design, development, integration and implementation of software solutions for enterprise systems and manufacturing systems, plant integration and automation, and the operation of IT systems 24/7.

It is reported that the expansion project also includes a new office space that can accommodate 120 employees. In this new office, technicians will work in this best workplace to support the company's more creative and efficient information systems, enabling ON Semiconductor to focus on new technologies and innovations.

Kevin Haskieu, senior vice president and chief information officer at ON Semiconductor, said: "Our customers require us to use advanced IT systems to improve overall quality, as well as provide advanced energy efficiency solutions for our products. This investment clearly shows how do we use digital technology to rethink our customer experience, streamline organizational processes, and increase productivity.
