Infineon leads the automotive semiconductor market in 2023

April 9, 2024 /SemiMedia/ -- According to the latest report released by TechInsights, the global automotive semiconductor market's full-year supplier revenue increased by 16.5% year-on-year in 2023, from $59.4 billion in 2022 to $69.2 billion in 2023. Infineon leads the market with a 14% share, and the top five manufacturers collectively capture 50% of the market share. Among the top ten automotive semiconductor suppliers in 2023, 5 achieved share growth.

In terms of rankings, NXP ranked second with a market share of 10%, STMicroelectronics ranked third with a market share of 9%, Texas Instruments ranked fourth, and Renesas Electronics ranked fifth for the second consecutive year. In addition, onsemi, Bosch, Analog Devices, Micron and Qualcomm ranked sixth to tenth respectively.

TechInsights pointed out in the report that Renesas Electronics failed to regain its top three position due to the weakening trend of the yen. STMicroelectronics, on the other hand, continues to maintain strong growth, leveraging its market position as a leading power electronics supplier and its support for digital trends in the automotive industry.
