Jan. 24, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- According to Mizuho, onsemi’s supply of silicon carbide devices to Tesla is expected to expand due to the release of production capacity at the Bucheon plant in South Korea.

Mizuho also surrendered that onsemi's expanded silicon carbide plant in Roznov, Czech Republic is currently in the process of ramping up production capacity, and is expected to expand silicon carbide production capacity by 16 times by 2024.

While the device production capacity is expanding, it is said that onsemi has also set a goal of 50% of the self-sufficiency rate of silicon carbide epitaxial wafers in 2023.
