Rohm Semiconductor issues price increase notice

SemiMediaEdit
September 8, 2022

According to supply chain, Rohm Semiconductor recently issued a price increase notice to its customers, saying that it would increase the price of its products by 10%.

Rohm said in the notice that despite ongoing efforts to absorb various price increases, due to the unexpected deterioration in the external environment, the recent surge in raw material costs, energy costs and distribution costs has far exceeded its ability to maintain current prices to customers.

In addition, Rohm said it is making ongoing investments to strengthen production capacity in order to provide customers with a stable supply that is timely and sustainable in response to growing demand.

For the above reasons, Rohm has decided to increase the price of all products by 10% from October 1, 2022.

The new pricing will apply to all new and existing orders shipped on or after October 1, 2022. In addition, the company will notify customers separately that some of the other markup rates apply.
