According to reports, on December 29, a member of the Infineon Management Committee stated that due to supply shortages that may continue until the end of 2022, efforts to keep output up with demand will continue.

Helmut Gassel, chief marketing officer of Infineon, told the media that the chip supply shortage period will be extended to 2022 and may last until the end of the year.

"demand is continuously high due to the global push towards digitalisation. So far, we have not seen any cancellation of orders," Gassel added.
