Today, semiconductor assembly and testing service provider Powertech Technology Inc. (PTI) announced that due to the city lockdown, the capacity utilization rate of its factory in Xi’an, Shanxi, China has dropped to 40% to 50%, which will have a slight impact on operations in January next year.

PTI pointed out that according to the local epidemic prevention policy, if there is a confirmed diagnosis in the community where employees live, the community will be blocked.  Therefore, the company arranges employees to stay in hotels.  The current capacity utilization rate is about 40% to 50%, which has limited impact on December operations.  , But it will have a slight impact on January next year.

According to public information, PTI and Micron have a joint venture integrated circuit packaging factory in Xi'an, which mainly produces standard storage products, accounting for about 5% of PTI's overall revenue.
