Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced today that its manufacturing subsidiary Komoro Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (located in Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture) will begin construction of a new production building in November 2021.

Murata said that in view of the miniaturization and increased functionality of electronic devices, the new production building will provide the necessary infrastructure to cope with the growing demand for RF modules in the medium and long-term capacity.

The total floor area of the building is 13,460 square meters. Murata invested 5.77 billion yen (approximately EUR 43.86 million) in this expansion, which includes the construction of manufacturing equipment. The company stated that it expects to complete the construction of the new production building by the end of December 2022.
