On April 21, Holtek Semiconductor issued a notice to its distributors and customers that it would temporarily suspend accepting orders for 2022.
Holtek said in the notice that it has received notice from wafer foundries and packaging factories that there will be another wave of price increases in the near future, with a price increase of 15%-30%. Secondly, it will resume accepting 2022 orders after receiving the 2022 wafer output from the foundry in mid-May.
As early as February, Holtek issued a notice stating that all its IC products will be increased by 15% starting from April 1, and it was the first price increase for all products since the company was founded.
