According to reports, French semiconductor company Soitec announced that it will expand its factory in Singapore to produce 12-inch SOI wafers.

According to Soitec's financial report, the company's fiscal 2022 revenue hit a record high of 863 million euros, an increase of 48% from the previous fiscal year, and gross profit reached 316 million euros, an increase of 72% from the previous fiscal year.

"This demonstrates our ability to use our wafers to play a decisive role in driving transformation through our end markets, whether it be mobile communications, automotive and industrial, or smart devices. Our products enable more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions made possible,” said Paul Boudre, CEO of Soitec.

“In order to keep up with the needs of our customers and support their growing needs, we believe in our ability to expand our company, and in order to further invest in our human capital and our capacity, we are pleased to announce that we have decided to expand our Pasir Ris fab in Singapore to produce 12-inch SOI wafers," Paul Boudre further stated.
