February 1, 2021

According to supply chain, Holtek recently issued a price increase notice, stating that it will increase its IC prices by 15%.

The notice stated that, due to the unstable supply and demand situation in the present semiconductor market, the price of raw materials has continued to rise. As a result of this, IC foundries have now implemented a second wave of price increases and additionally IC packaging plants have also instigated packaging and testing price increases.

In response to the increase in material and other additional service costs, Holtek announces that all of its IC products shipped on and after April 1st, will incur a price raise of 15%.

Holtek stated that it is aware that this is a sizeable price increase, but emphasized  that it has only been implemented as a measure of last resort due to the present difficult unforeseen market changes.
