UMC and GLOBALFOUNDRIES have a market share of about 6%, and sluggish demand and inventory adjustments (especially in the automotive and industrial fields) have affected these two companies.

SMIC ranks fifth, accounting for 5% share. However, TSMC expects demand for smartphone-related components to increase in the short term.

By process node, driven by the demand for artificial intelligence (AI) in the fourth quarter of 2023, the 5nm/4nm node won the largest market share with a market share of 26%; The 7nm/6nm process ranks second with a share of 13%, which mainly comes from entry-level smartphone chips; The 3nm node accounts for 9%, and demand mainly comes from the A17 Pro chip equipped on the iPhone 15 Pro/Max; In other process areas, 28nm/22nm and 16nm/14nm/12nm processes account for about 9%.
