South Korea's chip exports plummeted in early January

January 23, 2023

Jan. 23, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- According to statistics from the Korea International Trade Association, South Korea's exports continued to decline from January 1 to 20, 2023, and chip exports dropped by more than 30%.

The statistics show that exports from 1 to 20 decreased by 2.7% compared with the same period last year to US$33.6 billion, while imports increased by 9.3% to US$43.8 billion.

The main reason for the decline in South Korea's exports is the weakening demand for chips, which decreased by 34.1% over the same period.
